Seeing as how Oregon starts practice today, this seems like as good of a time as any to remove Off The Pond from the witness protection list. I don’t know where it went or why it left, but all that matters is that it’s back. I’m looking forward to the 2009 season and am looking to do my part in promoting the Pac-10 and especially Oregon.
Frankly, my effort in the last year has been nothing short of embarrassing but I’m hoping to make up for lost time. I even set up a Twitter account so you know I mean business. You can follow at twitter.com/offthepond.
You can check out team schedules along with a season outlook for each team. I’ve also provided links to buy game tickets, airfare and hotels (hey, who said I had to do everything for free?).
On that note, I’m getting a little advertisier this year (and making up words). Hopefully, it’s not a distraction and I promise to make up for it with more material.
I’m hoping to bring some good research to the table for posts from time to time. God knows I’ve wasted enough time looking up meaningless stats over the years so I might as well share what I find. Look for a ridiculously time consuming project on this decade’s performances by each of the BCS conferences. I promise it won’t disappoint.
Finally, we’ll see if I can get FOTB out of retirement. She was lazier than me last year.
Enjoy football everyone…less than a month away!

You think you can just walk back into my RSS feed after months of silence and expect me to welcome you back with open arms? Yes. Yes, you can.

@Giraffe: Heard from my brother about your big shot. Damn those practice attempts.
@ gribbit1: We’re dragging this sucker out another year so it remains fotb.

If she’s lazy, don’t worry about it. I like you serious anyway.

@Giraffe: you actually still post on that blog? Last I saw you were dressed up in Vegas for Halloween.
B- glad to see you’re back. Looking forward to reading some good Oregon homerism.
