Just had to mention the moron husky fans sitting in front of me, who had printed out “1917″ stickers on their label-maker to wear to the game. They came in loud and proud, literally screaming in my face and spraying me with their husky slobber. One idiot with blue earrings even told me it’s been 97 years since the Ducks won a Rose Bowl – it was classic! (2009-1917=92) By the time I finished helping them understand how the BCS system works, it was the second quarter, and the beating was well underway. Needless to say, the rest of the game was really, really fun, and they ended up leaving in the third quarter.

GoPurple, I know you’ve got no reason to be aware of this given Washington’s performance over the last decade, but its the BCS era, and the conference champion doesn’t always play its BCS game in the Rose Bowl. So the Ducks are outright Pac-10 champions in 2001 and win their BCS bowl game but it doesn’t count because it was in the Fiesta Bowl when the Rose Bowl hosted the national title game that year? Not a strong argument. If and when Washington plays in a BCS game and wins during a similar year, I’m certain you’ll give the Huskies all the credit for it they deserve.

Well the discussion started with a fellow husky fan saying that oregon is paris hilton until they win a rose bowl.
It was then made a point that that the huskies are terrible till they win a game.
Then I made the point that the huskies have indeed won a game and therefore are not terrible.
But Oregon has still not won a Rose Bowl and so they are Paris Hilton.
