Things That Are Making Me Happy

I’m full of smiles and for good reason. Call me chipper. I don’t care. These are things that are making me happy.

• It’s here. It’s really here! Oregon has broke from camp and moved into game week preparation. We’re only a week away from a tasty blue turf revenge. How can you not be happy about that?
• If you read the “annoying” post, you knew this was coming. Jeremiah Masoli is listed as the top quarterback in the Pac-10. I’ll feel much better when I see it proven over the course of a season, but in the Pac-10, a good quarterback matters. A lot.
• I just wanted to smile at this one more time before we move on (ha, like I’ll ever forget 0-12!). I dream of a competitive rivalry with Washington again, but will always enjoy the results of 2008.
• Hey, I’m Off The Pond, so for me, it’s all about the Rose Bowl this year. Just about six weeks until I get to tailgate on Pasadena’s country club lawn at the stadium and take in my first live Duck game. Yeah, that’s happiness. Wouldn’t mind doing that twice this season.
• Looking beyond the virtual walls of the west coast, we turn to Tom Mulhern of the Wisconsin State Journal. He ranked Oregon higher than any other AP writer, placing them at #6. I guess that’s not national news, but his sage wisdom must be noted.
