I wrote about it last night and the suspension comes as no surprise. I don’t think this should define LeGarrette Blount the person or athlete, but unfortunately, for now it does and he has to live with that. I hope he finds an opportunity to right himself in the future. I still consider him a Duck through and through and wish him all the best. It would be nice to still see him with the team as the season goes on.

This was, sadly, the right thing to do. LGB has had troubles before and this was the last – and big – straw. You can bet the Ducks would have gone with a two game suspension if they thought LGB was worth saving. The Ducks needed to act fast to start the process of moving on. We have a big game next week and LOTS to fix. LGB would have been a distraction. Time for new Ducks to step up and for some serious introspection by the coaches on their game prep and play calling.

I believe something did need to happen. LGB has some issues to resolve, but I am glad that he is still with the team. LGB needs to work through this with the Ducks. I believe everyone will benefit in the long run. It is not just a game. This is life we are living.

Hout needs some suspension time as well. Is it OK for him to taunt and nothing be done about it? I don’t think that was good sportmanship behavior. Let’s be fair. Just because Boise won does it give them the right to flaunt it in the LGB’s face. If the tables were turned what would Kelly do?

Agreed, a one game suspension would be appropriate. Don’t hold your breath.

Time to bust out Andre Crenshaw! That guy has been waiting behind LGB, Jeremiah Johnson, and JStewart! I can’t wait for him to blow up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsUknjTIsVM
