The blog would like to go to a revenue sharing model with, say, Huffington Post, TechCrunch and TMZ. They can have a $2 million surplus and we’ll share the rest. Just consider me the Washington State of our alliance. On with the links…
- Like NBC once said, “if you haven’t seen it, it’s new to you!” And with that, I give you two dated links featuring Ryen Russillo of ESPN Radio’s Scott Van Pelt show as he details his 2009 and 2010 trips to Eugene. Great reads.
- Speaking of words well written, leave it to the professional journalist to perfectly sum up the moment that is being No. 1. As fans, we should celebrate this historic feat. Reality is, the percentages favor Oregon losing at some point (Stop yelling at me! I’m not advocating for it) so why not cheer a little.
- Cliff Harris is finally going to start. Probably.
- Word is leaking out about the Pac-12′s future. The Seattle Times is reporting that USC and UCLA would each receive $2 million above each other team’s take in the new revenue sharing model. I’m okay with that but would sure like to know if Oregon is losing or winning in this given the number of appearances the Ducks make on TV.
- For this next item, I thought we could skip the link and use Photoshop to make the point. Even better, let’s present it as if Paul Buker were doing a retweet. Aaaand scene…

Now, of course, if this really was Buker, the next tweet would inevitably involve lashing out at Lindsay Schnell who would respond by saying Buker is a bad driver. More of that please. - For those of you that have no idea what just happened, back to links…
- UCLA is getting ready to play the No. 1 team in the country. Oh, that’s us. Whoa. I was listening to USC’s flagship radio station in L.A. Monday and they were hyping the Trojans big game against No. 1 Oregon in two weeks. It’s all just a tad surreal. I’m glad the players are too young to know what this really means.
- Apparently, Rick Neuheisel is using message board chatter as motivation. Why not blog chatter? “UCLA WILL LOSE BY INFINITY.” I want to see that in your locker room, Rick. INFINITY!
- See what Gregg Easterbrook has wrought? We now have students that write for the University of Kansas newspaper regurgitating Easterbrook’s claim that Oregon incorporates the Pistol formation within a playbook that has no more than 20 plays. And seriously Gregg, two gs? I had it figured out at Greg.
- I’d mostly given up my anti-Jon Wilner campaign on the understanding that fixing him was like trying to reverse the effects of gravity. But then I found this link telling me I can stand on my head for 30 minutes a day and keep my organs from sagging. LIGHT BULB! If I can stop gravity, surely I can convince Jon Wilner that he doesn’t know how to vote. Jon, this top 25 is horrendous. It’s not even Oregon that upsets me. It’s the entire body of work. Please try again.
